Mr. Chan began his business career as early as June of 1968 in Shantou City, Guangdong Province. By May of 1979, he had established an international trading company and entered the textile industry through the formation of King Wai (Hong Kong) Enterprise Group in Hong Kong. During the following years, his vision expanded and by August 1992 Mr. Chan had added eight subsidiary companies to his diversified holdings, spanning such diverse industries as manufacturing, international trade, real estate projects and investment.
While growing his company to one of the biggest private companies in China, Mr. Chan thinks highly of his social responsibility. He demonstrates tremendous commitment to give back to the community and society. He supports educations and promotes the social credit system in China. He has been the major sponsor for all CCPIT-FCIB China International Credit Risk Management Conferences during the past 5 years.
Mr. Chan also participates in many social activities. He currently serves as the CPPCC National Committee member, Standing Director of China Economic and Social Council, Chairman of Chamber of Commerce of Textile & Garment, Vice Chairman of Chamber of Commerce of Real Estate, All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce. In addition the Chairman has been honored for his significant and continuing contributions to the community. Mr. Chan has been recognized for his focused and creative vision and has been honored for his support of the economy of Guangdong, Shanghai, and Tianjin, China.
Mr. Chan is an Adjunct Professor of Dong Hua University, and currently also serves as the Board Director of Tong Ji University. He is a frequently invited speaker on various China market risk management topics, including issues of social credit in China, credit risk management for private enterprises, Chinese branding issues, and company human capital issues.
