Mr. Quirk currently
serves as the Managing Director of Trade Credit and
Political Risks for the Willis Group; he also leads the
firms Islamic Finance Initiative. His current area of
responsibility extends throughout Asia Pacific. Mr. Quirk
has recently joined Willis Group after serving at Marsh and
McLennan in a similar role for 15 years. He has been in the
Trade Credit and Political Risk Industry for the last 20
Years.
In his former role prior to moving to
Tokyo Japan in 2002 to establish and lead the regional Trade
Credit and Political Risk practice. Mr. Quirk worked under
Ambassador L. Paul Bremer in their U.S., Political Risk
practice at their New York City Headquarters.
At that time his areas of responsibility
included the United States and Latin America.
He had also worked on projects in Eastern
Europe and the Former Soviet Union for the firm. He is a
frequent contributor to major trade and press publications
on the topics of Trade Credit Insurance, Political Risks and
Terrorism. He began his career in 1986 as a Trade Credit
Insurance Underwriter.
He currently resides in Singapore with
his family, and is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. He
attended The Brooks School ?0 in North Andover and has a
Bachelor of Arts Degree (Classics) from the University of
New Hampshire ?84.
