FCIB(China) Greeting

Dear Colleagues,

I’m pleased to inform you that FCIB’s annual global conference in China – The 4th China International Credit and Risk Management Conference will be held in Shenzhen on September 19 to 21, 2007. The conference is jointly organized by FCIB (An Association of Executives in Finance, Credit and International Business), CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade), Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, The Export-Import Bank of China, and Shenzhen Municipal Government. On behalf of FCIB and the Conference Organizing Committee (COC), I would like to extend my formal invitation to you attend and participate in this conference.

Julian Chen
COO, FCIB China

The past three FCIB China conferences were overwhelmingly successful from both the intellectual and cultural perspective. All conferences attracted a multinational audience (more than 1,200 companies including many Asian companies and trade organizations). The conferences created a friendly networking environment and provided a platform for attendees to update knowledge, share experience, and exchange viewpoints and techniques relating to the trade credit, bank credit, risk control and risk mitigation.

We expect the coming conference will be the biggest conference in FCIB China history. We plan to attract 600 people (at least 400 companies) to attend this conference. Our expectation is based on the followings:

1. Good Timing:
September is good time for most of our members and Chinese companies. The previous conferences are either in November or December (budgeting season).

2. Good Location:
Many members have presence in Pearl River Delta region (Hong Kong or Guangdong). There are also many Chinese companies (including manufactures, trading firms, and service companies in all size) are international trade related in the region. The PRD is much more developed than other cities in China. The conference venue is only 30 miles away from downtown Hong Kong. We are expecting many attendees from Hong Kong also.

3. Good Program:
The coming conference has two main tracks. One track focuses on “Doing business internationally” and another track focuses on “Doing business in China”. The first tract aims to help Chinese companies how to manage the development and growth opportunities aboard. Audience will learn how to compete internationally, how to gain competitiveness through a sound credit risk management, how to mitigate trade risk and so on. Meanwhile, we will have a country discussion session to examine the 3 major trade partners of China (EU, America and Latin America).

The second track is designed for multinational companies that doing business in China. We will discuss the China market characteristics, enterprise trade behavior, credit information, receivable management, payment instruments, cash application, law enforcement issues, accounting standard, new Chinese bankruptcy law, etc. There will be many professional discussions.

4. FCIB style:
Every speaker FCIB China invited is professional and practitioner. Many are dynamic speakers. Please click the “Speakers” to meet some of our speakers and presenters. Besides traditional presentations from invited speakers, we will also have many interactive discussions, including open forum, round table, survey session (predetermined 60 credit managers that represent diverse industries and regions will participate in this survey session). We expect to see many exciting discussions, hot debates and excellent presentations during this conference.

Besides major conference program, we also schedule many side events related to FCIB China. For example, the second FCIB China Founding Member Meeting will be held on September 19th which will officially become FCIB China Advisory Council Meeting. FCIB’s second CICA (Certified International Credit Analyst) graduation ceremony will be held in the morning of September 20th. China Credit Manager Club meeting will also be held during the conference.

The conference also organizes a credit expo along with the conference. We are inviting sponsors and exhibitors (including financial institutions, trade organizations, service companies, credit related software firms, etc.) The coming conference is going to be a big gathering!

5. Great Support:
September is the “Credit Month” in China. September 19th happens to be the “Credit Day” in China. Chinese government considers this conference a big part of the government campaign for China Social Credit System. By establishing China social credit system, Chinese government aims to build a better and harmonious business environment to promote peace and prosper. The coming conference will be supported by Chinese government. At least 30 news media will attend the coming conference.

This is going to be a very exciting event. I look forward to seeing you in the coming conference.

Cheers!
